GOD STORIES DURING LENT

God is Great! We come together to worship God, but how easily can we talk about our faith or spiritual experiences, even with our families or fellow parishioners? Would you like to get better and more comfortable telling these stories of God?

This Lent, join us Wednesday evenings (2/17, 2/24, 3/2, 3/9, & 3/16 at 7:30-8:30pm) to explore what God stories are and ways to tell them. We’ll use familiar Bible stories and our own experiences to practice sharing stories and learning how stories can build bridges to other people and to God. Come feel the glow that comes from talking about God.

On Saturday March 19, at the end of the five weeks, there will be a Certified Biblical Storyteller, Jim Cyr, performing his story, “St. Francis of Assisi, the Mirror of Christ,” which pairs stories from the life of St. Francis of Assisi with stories from the Gospel of Luke and other Scriptures to show how the life of St. Francis “mirrored” the life of Christ.

The program culminates in that week of stories we call Holy Week. No experience necessary, just a willingness to try!
